When most people say they want to “sail away someday,” Lee and Sara actually did it. With two young kids, a $15,000 ferro-cement boat, and zero safety net, they launched into the unknown—and kept going. How did they do it? Would they do it again? 

10 years, numerous countries, countless waves, and one global pandemic later, Sailing Catalpa is still out there: surfing remote reefs, schooling their kids on board, making all their repairs by hand, and cooking fresh meals in some of the most beautiful places on earth.
