The Better Part: Capitalist Realism and Sabbath as Resistance

This past weekend I was privileged to be able to preach at all three services at the church I am employed at. I thought it would be fun to share that sermon here on the podcast as a type of bonus/semi-unplanned episode. The text I preached on was Luke 10:38-42 and Amos 8:1-12. In this sermon, I talk about how it is not merely enough to challenge individuals to make time in their lives for Sabbath/Contemplation but rather the church must be willing to push back against the systems that make those very acts a privilege for the few. Ps.
