#1075 "Strengthening Your Heart" A REVING The Word Workout

Jul 6th, 2026 9:00 AM

What are you carrying that God never asked you to hold? Are your hands clenched tightly around an outcome? A relationship, a situation, or a prayer you've been waiting on? In this REVING the Word workout, Jennifer Allen invites you to discover the freedom of holy indifference—the practice of caring deeply while releasing control to God.   Rooted in James 5 and 2 Peter 1, this REVING the Word experience invites you to move your body as you engage with Scripture through prayer, reflection, and worship. Open your hands and move your body as you hear this Good News that will shape you from the inside out, discovering that true strength isn't found in controlling the outcome. This is a practice of remaining faithful and firmly rooted in God's love, even as the story is still unfolding.   Open your hands. Release the outcome. Stay faithful. Strengthen your heart.   Anchor Scriptures James 5:7–8 2 Peter 1:5–8 Matthew 26:36–46 Romans 12:18–19   New to REVING the Word? Your body was made to move! So move it, any way you want as you listen. Walk the dog, mow the lawn, listen as you lift weights in the gym, or dance in the kitchen. There isn't one right way. Just move, breathe, and as your body moves, let His Word move in you. This is how we stay whole in body, soul, and spirit.   🎧 Playlist for This Workout We Welcome You Today (2024 Re-Work) [feat. #1074 "Treasures" A Be Still and Be Loved Biblical Meditation

Jun 29th, 2026 9:00 AM

Be Still & Be Loved is a guided Scripture meditation designed to help you slow down, quiet your mind, and rest in God's presence. Whether you're beginning your day, taking a midday pause, or preparing for sleep, this space invites you to breathe deeply and receive His peace. Take a few moments to settle into a comfortable position. If you're able, lie down. If not, find a seat where you can rest without distraction. As you begin to notice your breath, pay attention to how your state of being starts to shift. Every inhale and exhale is a reminder that God is near, holding you with His steady love. In this guided meditation, you'll reflect on 2 Corinthians 4:7: "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." Though our bodies are fragile, they carry something infinitely valuable—God's presence. He is our greatest treasure, and He treasures every part of us, including our minds. Together we'll quiet the noise, fix our thoughts on what is excellent, noble, and true, and rest in the One who is making us new—body, mind, and spirit. Breathe deeply. You are held. You are loved. You are His treasure. #1073 Does the Body Really Keep the Score?

Jun 25th, 2026 9:00 AM

Have you seen videos of people experiencing a dramatic emotional release and wondered, "Do I need that to heal?" The conversation around trauma, somatic healing, and nervous system regulation has exploded in recent years. Many point to the bestselling book The Body Keeps the Score and the idea that trauma is stored in the body. Others argue that trauma isn't stored in the body at all, but rather in the brain's predictive patterns and responses. So what's true? In this episode, Alisa explores this important conversation through both science and Scripture, examining where biology and theology meet. Together we'll consider what trauma does to the brain and body, why healing requires more than information alone, and how God's design for our minds and bodies points us toward lasting freedom. You'll discover: What somatic release is The difference between trauma being "stored" in the body versus encoded in the brain How trauma can impact our ability to shift from fear, anxiety, and hypervigilance into peace and safety Why tending to the body can help us tend to the mind What Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5 teach us about renewing our minds Why healing happens in connection, not isolation How the compassion of Christ invites us into true restoration Alisa also unpacks Jesus' encounter with the man at the pool in John 5, asking a powerful question: Do we truly want to be healed, even when healing requires discomfort, surrender, and change? Practical Ways to Participate in Healing Get close to Jesus Spend time in God's Word until your heart is awakened to His truth and love. Stay connected to God's people Healing happens in relationships with people who embody the love and truth of Christ. Practice daily sacrifice Learn to become comfortable with healthy discomfort. These practices are more than spiritual disciplines—they are psycho-neuro-biological pathways that help align our minds, bodies, and spirits with God's design for wholeness. #1072 "Welcoming All Things" A REVING the Word Workout

Jun 22nd, 2026 9:00 AM

Join Alisa Keeton for a light interval workout and contemplative prayer practice rooted in Romans 8:28. Drawing from the teachings of Thomas Keating, Alisa explores surrender as an active posture of trust—not apathy, but courage. As you move, you'll consider what it means to welcome God into every part of your life, especially the places where you're striving, overfunctioning, worrying, or trying to stay in control. Through gentle intervals and reflective questions, you'll be invited to notice where your fists are closed and practice opening your hands to God's presence. Together, you'll explore the difference between groaning and grumbling, how suffering can become a pathway to deeper trust, and why surrender is often the beginning of coming home to God. This workout will help you shift from frustration to fascination, from anxiety to adventure, as you remember that God is working all things toward good. Come ready to move, reflect, and strengthen your surrender. #1071 "The God Who Sees" A REVING the Word INTERVAL Workout

Jun 15th, 2026 12:53 PM

In this interval workout, Alisa Keeton invites you to move your body so you can return to your body—and encounter a God who created it. This is not a "have to." It's a get-to. A chance to care for your body, nourish it, and remember that worry and striving lead toward bondage, while presence leads toward freedom. A Question to Begin When was the last time you felt truly seen by God? Because the God who sees… sees you. Today's Scripture 📖 Genesis 1:31 "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." The Hebrew word tov means good—whole, complete, flourishing. Before anything was said, there was seeing. God didn't just declare goodness—He saw it. Knowing vs. Being Seen Knowing God is cognitive. Being seen by God is embodied. To know we are good, we need to be seen. Three Ways to Experience Being Seen by God Read the Word Gather in community Be known (vulnerability and honesty) Move as an Invitation As you move through today's intervals, let this become more than exercise. Let it become a practice of receiving God's gaze. You are not striving to be good. You are learning to believe what God already sees. Keep moving. Stay present. And let yourself be seen.
