Lavinia Spalding is an author, teacher, and public speaker. She's the six-time series editor of The Best Women’s Travel Writing, the author of Writing Away, the co-author of With a Measure of Grace and This Immeasurable Place, and the co-host of the storytelling podcast There She Goes. Lavinia also introduced the e-book edition of Edith Wharton’s classic travelogue, A Motor-Flight Through France, and she has contributed to such publications as AFAR, Longreads, Tin House, Yoga Journal, Sunset, AirBnB magazine, Ms., Post Road, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Guardian. Her work has won gold Lowell Thomas and Solas travel writing awards, has been recognized in The Best American Travel Writing, has been written about in The New Yorker and The New York Times, and has been anthologized widely. She teaches writing workshops around the world and is available for speaking engagements and storytelling classes. Lavinia is a proud member of The Writers Grotto and Peauxdunque Writers’ Alliance.
