355 - Shane Snow: Are You Ideal to Work With? (What Makes a Good Team)
This is Shane Snow’s third time on the podcast. And we had a lot to cover. Shane is the author of the incredibly intelligent book, “Smartcuts: How Hackers, Innovators, and Icons Accelerate Success.“ And he’s also the cofounder of “Contently,” a content strategy company that helps businesses grow. He’s an expert in writing stories about successful who may or may not have taken the “smartcut”. And he taught me a lot about solving problems in an unconventional way.
Shane’s upcoming book, “Dream Teams: Working Together Without Falling Apart“ which comes out in June is (I like to think), like a sequel to his first. But it’s been awhile since I read his first book, so I wanted to review it because I think “Dream Teams” is a natural extension of the smartcuts concept. And then we dissect teams. We discuss the roots of what makes a team function with optimal performance. Even individuals who are not directly working with a team can use these ideas to improve any area of their lives.
