The Shaking Taking Place

 

On Daily Faith, we want to introduce the Lead Pastor of Church on the Rock from Texarkana, TX, John Miller. Pastor John Miller has been ministering in the church for over 30 years. His vision for the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by connecting people to God and fulfilling the great commission. We are living in extraordinary times in the world. A great shaking is taking place. Hebrew 12:27 NKJV tells us, “Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” Amid this shaking, the Kingdom of God cannot be shaken. God has allowed these events: covid, inflation, wars, election, and uncertainty, to shake and affect the entire world to expose the root cause of America’s troubles and call America to return to God in hopes of a spiritual awakening. Pastor John Miller expresses the importance of having our spiritual foundation built on the word of God. This requires repentance from sin, turning to God, and increasing our faith in Him. No matter what difficulties you may be facing, Jesus Christ is the source of revealed truth for the world, the hope we have amid this insanity. For over the past thirty years, the Orphans Hands ministry has rescued the lives of countless orphaned children. Moldova has one of the highest death rates due to alcohol abuse. With poverty, fear, and lack of support and care, their children are forced to live in an orphanage at a young age. The workers in the orphanages tell them that no one will love them and they will never amount to anything. They age out of the system at sixteen and are forced onto the streets, hopeless and afraid. They’re subject to the risks and false hopes of the human traffickers. The Orphans Hands ministry has a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra and a house in Odessa, Ukraine. These kids are given a chance to rest, establish their spiritual foundations, and deepen their roots in the word of God. Amid the shaking in the world, they are no longer orphans but sons and daughters of God turned into missionaries. Putin's War on Ukraine has caused us to safely evacuate our home in Odessa. Our kids support the Ukrainian refugees by supplying food, blankets, and Bibles and sharing a glimmer of hope. We need your support to continue reaching beyond our grasp to help those in need.
