Stories of Racism - Miriam’s Story

This is Miriam's story and her experience of racism, both as the receiver and the giver.

Miriam is a 50+ professional woman working within the community sector,  primarily with refugees and asylum seekers.

Miriam migrated to Australia, from New Zealand, in the early 80s and has 2 adult Australian born daughters and 2 grand-children.  Her hopes for the future are for a World where differences are embraced and not seen as a threat, and where we can be proud of heritage and can celebrate together.
