Lazarus Tamana is the President of (MOSOP), The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People which is a non-governmental, non-political apex organisation of the Ogoni ethnic minority people of South-Eastern Nigeria. In conjunction with his activism and work with MOSOP, he is helping farmers gain access to local markets and building out international markets for the products they produce in the Niger Delta. We discuss the negative environmental impact the oil industry's had on his homeland.
