This episode features Dr. Susanne Dumbleton, Professor Emeritus and former dean at DePaul University. Her work centres around investigating leadership for social change and social change led by women.
Chapter 12 is a reflection on the powerful life and leadership of Kenyan social, environmental and political activist Wangari Maathai. Maathai was responsible for a massively successful reforestation initiative that spread across Kenya, and various other movements that challenged government handling of environmental challenges.
She defied gender and cultural stereotypes, challenged structures of power, and inspired people the world over to use their voices for things that matter. Her legacy continues to inform and inspire activists and leaders alike.
