M.I Abaga talks new album The Guy, Nas, & The Task Committee on ”Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max”
Thank you to Nigeria's own M.I Abaga for coming on my show for an interview! M.I Abaga talked about his new album The Guy, the album being rooted in doing impossible things with sheer audacity, and collaborating with Nas on Bigger. He discussed studying depression and creating A Study On Self Worth: Yxng Dxnzl about it. He got into coming to America to go to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, messing up in wanting to pursue the American Dream, and going back to Nigeria to pursue a successful Hip-Hop career. He spoke about the toxic state of social media, the class system in America vs. Nigeria, and the principle that his parents taught him to have longevity in the music industry. M.I Abaga also talked about starting his own label Incredible Music, The Task Committee, his upcoming movie being in the works, and podcast Talk About It. Stay tuned!
