This month on In Your Shoes, get ready to meet a multifaceted, strong, and determined woman who emigrated from Ukraine over 20 years ago. Iryna Berestenko grew up in the Soviet Union and witnessed its dissolution. During a time of uncertainty where resources were scarce, and education lost all value, Iryna only completed 9 school grades, and it wasn’t until she moved to the United States that she realized the power  education holds and made the decision to further her studies.
