In this last of 3 Lake Opeongo episodes, my focus is now on leaseholding activities on Lake Opeongo beginning about 1925 including a detailed history of Opeongo Lodge, the life and times of John Bates (Opeongo's only private leaseholder), Lake Opeongo tragedies and few of my own Lake Opeongo musings.
