Episode 119 - Conversation with James Ortiz - ”Turning Your Biggest Pain Into Your Greatest Weapon”

James Ortiz was born and raised in Nicaragua until the age of 17.  He grew up in a single mom's household as the oldest out of 4 kids.  He arrived in Los Angeles, CA in January 2010, graduated high school that same year and went in to community college to become a social worker.

James started his career at a local grocery store, pushing shopping carts and stocking shelves. Then he went on to work with a national Beverage Company as a merchandiser/sales associate and later joined a World Wide recognized beverage company as a Business Development representative.

Him and his family started from the ground.

Today, James serves as a Business Development Officer for a technology company.  . He is also a Leadership Development Coach certified with the Maxwell Leadership Team.  His mission is to equip youth with the leadership and communication skills, so that they break the cycles of poverty and inadequacy and become empowered professionals and strong leaders.
