Ad the older brother in my house growing up, my little bro would watch me play games from time to time. I would never watch him, because frankly, I didn't think it was a cool thing to do. But when he got Advance Wars, I'd peak over his shoulder every now and then and think "that looks really fun". I just never asked to play it because I couldn't show weakness. I'm sure you understand.
I finally played it on my Switch, thanks to the Re-Boot Camp remasters, and holy fuck, I should have played this a long time ago. Is it the deepest, most challenging tactical game ever made? Not even close. But sometimes simple is a good thing. This game's fun, charming, and addictive. What else could you ask for?
My buddy Keegs and I are gonna explain why if you haven't already played Advance Wars, you need to right that wrong on this week's show.
And before we get advance our wars, I stumble through another edition of the Infamous Intro!
This week, someone asks if I'd give up gaming for a million bucks? What am I always referencing with my shout outs? And we talk a little bit of Survivor, too.
Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 GBA tactics games: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Fire Emblem, and Mega Man Battle Network.
