The One Practice that Sets Successful Leaders Up for Success with Jessica Harrington
This week's episode guest is Jessica Harrington who received her Master's in Public Health at West Chester University. She is the owner of Journey to Yourself, is a speaker, and stress management health educator. Through her career and education, she realized that we all have a common issue—everyone, at some point or another, struggles with handling stress. This realization led her to create Journey to Yourself.
Stress is as much a part of our experience as breathing and yet, when we feel stressed, we feel out of control.
In this episode, we will discuss how we can create a healthier relationship with ourselves that would allow us to accept, rather than resist, what is happening around us. During our time together, Jess and I talk about the importance of:
- Knowing and expressing what we truly want
- Setting standards and boundaries for oneself
- Taking time for oneself to recharge and reflect
- Practicing small self-care activities as a form of stress management
- Effectively communicating our needs and desires to others
- Prioritizing self-awareness, self-care, and healthy boundaries for happiness and stress management
