The desire to be accepted, to feel approved and to have attained something through our work and intellect is what the devil uses to draw us into legalism. Things from our childhood that have left us in a co-dependent mindset make us easy prey to those who can manipulate our emotions. I was one of those who fell prey to that cult manipulation into the Hebrew Roots movement, in Messianic Judaism.
