Nick and Ciarán from Corner Späti come on the show this week to talk about the recent elections in Germany, and the specific ways in which posting influenced its outcome. We talk about the rise of the far-right AfD and the ineffectiveness of liberal politics to counter it, and the surprise surge of the left-wing Die Linke.

 We also talk about rising authoritarianism in Germany and the ways in which historical memory is abused, resulting in an increased targeting of Muslim immigrants, as well as police being given extra powers to punitively punish protesters at Palestine rallies, and arrest people for posting online.
