Kinda like when Fashion Week drops a surprise trend, Shark Week pulls you in deeper than you thought, or you're counting down to Spring Break only to be hit with… something completely different.

Now imagine a moment in history that caught an entire crowd by surprise—long before any of the modern weeks we count down to with so much anticipation.

That moment? The week Hosanna rolled into Jerusalem.

People lined the streets like we do in modern-day parades, thinking they were getting a political hero, a power player, a fix-it-all king.

Instead, they got something no one saw coming:

• A King riding in with peace, not power.
• A King showing up for everyone, not just the popular or the powerful.
• A King ready to lay down His life—not take control of everyone else’s.

It wasn’t just unexpected—it was disruptive in the best possible way.

This isn’t just a story about a crowd back then but a mirror to our own lives now.

How often do we expect one thing, only to be met with something that challenges us to see deeper, to think differently, to let go of control?
