JW's Financial Coaching Podcast-Singles and money
Singles face unique situations when handling their money that differ from what married couples face. These situations are true no matter whether you have never been married, are divorced with or without children, or are widowed. Last year in February I did a "Love and Money" podcast series dedicated to married couples. But today's topic is all about singles and money.
The main thing singles often lack is accountability. Because of this lack of accountability, singles often make more impulse buys, eat out a lot more, and generally don't have an overall plan with their money. Another situation they face is thinking long term. A lot of the time singles do not have a long term plan with money and that derails them down the road.
Overall, singles still must have a game plan with their money. You still must live on less than you make, you must have the proper insurance and wills in place, and you have to plan for the future. If you do all these things you will be able to sock away large sums of money each month and become quite wealthy.
