JW's Financial Coaching Podcast-How to handle Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Holidays
Whether it be a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, everybody loves a good reason to celebrate. Problems can occur, however, when we do not put proper boundaries on these celebrations. Today we cover some things to consider when budgeting for these types of expenses.
The main things you have to consider are the scope to which you are going to celebrate and which events are the most important to you and your family.
Remember, you do not have to say yes to everything. You can say no.
It is also important to remember that spending time with family and friends can mean a whole lot more than a gift. As an adult what I remember most about my childhood celebrations was the time with my family, not the gifts that I received.
