Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is proud to have more than 42,000 registered volunteers and 2,700 business and community partners of various ages, interests and backgrounds supporting our students. During this 2014/15 school year they have already donated over 500,000 hours to benefit our students and schools.
The District honors these outstanding volunteers, mentors, business partners and parent involvement winners during the Community Involvement Awards (CIA). This podcast is a recording from Superintendent Robert W. Runcie’s remarks at the 2015 CIA, which was held at the Parker Playhouse and attended by more than 700 guests.
BCPS values the contributions of our volunteers, mentors and partners and understands their positive impact to our students. To join the 42,000 community members helping Broward’s students and schools, and to learn more about how you can get involved, visit browardschools.com/getinvolved.
