The regular season came to a close last night, but the lights are still on at KKHQ! Elan and Brian recap the final week's delights and disappointments on the 60th edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast!
Elan and Brian begin by giving props to Jamie Benn for winning this year's scoring race, and discuss how this will affect his standing amongst the league's elite come next year's draft order. Brian also comments on the league-wide downward trend in point-scoring.
We then have a look at who rested in their team's final games, and whether or not it's worth tinkering with your pool's format to avoid feeling the effects of surprise late-season scratches.
We also call out a few stars who may have let their owners down when it mattered the most, as well as a few depth guys that stepped up with heroically huge weeks and months down the stretch.
Before closing the show, we give you a heads up about what to expect over the course of our 2015 Offseason Series (note that episodes will be coming out bi-weekly over the summer!). Elan is declared the knowingest know-it-all even though he lost another bet already, and he immediately puts his title on the line as the guys make their Stanley Cup predictions.
And finally, things get a little silly as we offer up our final round of tributes to the eliminated and hearty congratulations to the champions amongst us.
