This week Shane Allen, the BBC's Controller of Comedy Commissioning, talks to Jarlath about his lifelong obsession with comedy, how he went to Edinburgh University specifically to hang out at the Fringe during the summer, getting his big break on the 11 O'Clock Show and the bizarre experience of shooting Ali G with Sasha Baron Cohen in Northern Ireland.
