In March 2015, Robert (Bob) Love, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries division administrator, was honored by the Louisiana Wildlife Federation with the 2014 Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year.
Love, was recognized for leading the department’s biologist team involved with the reintroduction of the whooping crane to Louisiana. He was joined by Sara Zimorski, Whooping Crane Project Biologist, in a visit with The Outpost editor, Art Young to talk about these magnificent birds.
