As creatives and business owners, we need to believe in the impossible because creativity is not based in reality. As creators we make something out of nothing--we imagine what does not yet exist, and make it so. That is an absurd power to harness. Conversely, we need to practice challenging our confirmation bias in order to protect ourselves from dangerous assumptions such as, "My business is always going to be needed", or "that customer will never leave", or Detroit will always be America's greatist city.".
