Most Christians naturally view salvation in light of the past or the future. God has forgiven our sins of our past and promises the inheritance of heaven for our future. Nonetheless, the gospel is not just past or even future oriented alone. The "Gospel of the Now" is important! HOPE is a beautiful word that depicts this reality. As such, hope is two dimensional. It is a confident expectation of God's eternal work AND trust in His plans and work today. In Romans 5:1-11, the Apostle Paul shares his "theology of hope", emphasizing how hope changes our perspective and our attitude about life in the present! As we look toward Easter, HOPE emerges as we identify the power of Gospel! The pilot message of our There Is Hope Series was preached on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at ParkerDC.
