Living in England, Aneela is a textile designer, author of Little Stitches about hand embrodiery and an upcoming book called Stitched Sewing Organizers. She has designed fabric for Moda Fabrics and now designs for Cloud 9 Fabrics. She is also a pattern designer, wife and mother. During our conversation, we talk about her creative journey training as a commerical textile designer to today, her thoughtful design process including the story behind the cat print in her Hello Petal fabric line, her role in the e-zine Fat Quarterly, her decision to share her cancer diagnosis and so much more.
