Cobras Start Hot and Run By pima
The Parkland Men came out firing on Friday, knocking down nine treys in the opening half, as they built a 51-33 half time lead on the way to a 104-90 win over Pima CC of Arizona. The victory improves the Cobras to (29-3) and they will take on Grand Rapids CC at 2:00 Saturday in the 5th place game.
After a couple of poor shooting performances, PC came out hot as they shot 54% in the opening 20 minutes, building an early double digit lead. The lead would grow to as many as 25 in the second half as PC took advantage of a pair of technical fouls to grow the lead to 66-41 with 15 minutes remaining. The second half would be a foul plagued affair with the two teams combining to shoot 50 free throws. Fortunately, PC would make 26-33 in the second half as the Aztecs could get no closer than 14 the rest of the way.
Four Cobras finished in double figures as Cornelius McIntosh led the way with 17 points and 7 boards, as he went 8-10 at the line. Terrion Howard was 3-3 in the first half from behind the arc and finished with 11 while Courtez Dixon and Jarret Olson each had 10 points. Luke Beesley added 9 points, 7 boards, and 3 assists while the trio of Joe Larry, Rhony Mouliom, and March Latham all had 9 points as well.
