Podcast 36 - Radios and their Impact on Family - Full, Premium version
In honor of National Radio Day (August 20th), Gena and Jean discuss the effects radio had on generations of decades past, the transition of radio to television to computer as news media, and some of the uniqueness of radios. The second half includes a discussion of news, sports, and entertainment programs, as well as advertisements, that came into the home via the medium of radio. The photo included here was the personal radio of Jean's grandfather, Lee Wilcox, on which he listened to the Paul Rader program every Sunday.
