Smith (8-2) earned the victory as he scattered four hits while walking three and striking out seven. The Cobra offense would give Smith all the offense he would need as they scored twice in the 2nd. Trystin Raikes was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on a pair of outs, and scored on Christian Sanchez's RBI single. Bobby Barnard followed with a run scoring triple off the wall in right to make it 2-0.
In the 4th, PC would blow the game open scoring four more times. Tyler Paulsen and Nick Wisz started the inning with singles and Sanchez would drive in his second run of the game with another single. Alex Steinbach followed with a two-run single and Connor Aube also drove in a run with a base hit.
The Cobras would add two insurance runs in the 5th as Raikes singled and Paulsen drove him in with an RBI double. Paulsen would score the Cobras eighth and final run of the afternoon as he raced home on a wild pitch. Paulsen finished with three hits and almost added a fourth as his final at bat missed by inches of being a three-run homer.
