On this episode of the podcast I have the pleasure of speaking with Derek Hansen. Derek has done it all. He started out in track and field, has been a head strength coach at the college level as well as consultant for many professional teams. In addition he is an author, has spoken at many conferences, clinics, and events. Coach Hansen and I get into speed and plyometric training, and how that differs for the track athlete vs. the team sport athlete. We also touch on training the speed reserve, return to play protocols, and the uses for electrical muscle stimulation.
