Vampires. Yes, Vampires.
In November of 1930, Canadian fur trapper Joe Labelle made his way into an Inuit village on Lake Anjikuni, looking for shelter for the night. Labelle had been in the village before and expected to find it bustling with activity as it was known as a busy fishing village. However, what he found was an eerily quiet village devoid of its usual signs of life. None of the chimneys had smoke, but Labelle did notice a fire in the distance. Upon getting to the fire, he realized that the fire had been apparently abandoned, as the stew warming above it was blackened. Where had the people gone? Why was the fire abandoned? Did Vampires drain the life out of the habitants?
