Episode 68 - Interview With a Cub Scout
The packing list topic gets punted, again!
But in its place, Ken and Colin sit down for a chat and are soon joined by Ella, Ken's eldest daughter and a Howler in Cub Scouts this year. Which turns out to be a great thing, and what would otherwise have been an informal chat with no real topic in mind becomes an interview about Ella's experiences in Cubs to date, and what her expectations and hopes are for the year to come.
There was also a whole other conversation that took place, but unfortunately, microphone issues largely rendered Ken's audio for that segment non-usable. Fodder for another episode, maybe.
We have two shout-outs to give this week, both as a result of comments left on our last episode when it was posted to the Scouts Canada Discussion Group on Facebook.
The first shout-out goes to Neil Looby, who commented:
I have your podcast on auto-download on my phone now.
And the second goes to Joe Vantour, whom you should get in touch with if you have badges to trade, who added:
I listen on the weekend when I go into the office to catch up on work that I didn't finish during the week. I am very happy this podcast exists and I look forward to each new episode.
Many thanks to both Neil and Joe for listening; we do appreciate it!
As always, a big thank you to the folks at Scouting Radio for rebroadcasting Scouting Stuff episodes to their worldwide Scouting audience. If you're listening to us on Scouting Radio right now, let us know; reach out and get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
