Ep #6: Sissoko and Coco Send Us Em-mental
In Episode #6 of The Cheeseroom Podcast, titled ‘Sissoko and Coco Send Us Em-mental’ we are graced as ever by the erudite analytical stylings of the Harlow Globetrotter, Lloyd Stiles from Vienna, who along with colourful former Sarf London standover man, Benny ‘the Podfather’ Heidelbach from Denmark, as well as Owen “The Caller” Culshaw from Northampton in the UK, and host-with-the-most, yours truly, Mr. Jolly in ole Sydney town, break down the Hammers Cup final loss, preview the PSV and Man City games.
Then, in Part 2 (from 36:20) Francis ‘Top Man’ Parker joins the foursome, together with the legendary Iralion ‘the Kurdish-Norwegian Lion’ Saleh to debate the topic Is Kieran Trippier better than Kyle Walker? (*Franny is going to PSV away so we hear a little from him in Part 1 too. :)
In Part 3 (from 1:02:10) Paul Fellowes of OzSpurs fame joins Mr. J for a special ‘Faces in the Crowd’ segment where we speak with Ivan Markota from Croatia, who talks about playing with shells in the street as a kid, guns being fired into the air after the 1998 World Cup win over Germany, Croatian football, the 2018 WC, Spurs Croatian players and much more. It’s great stuff!
Bonus notes: Also at the beginning of the show we hear the sapient tones of an Owen ‘The Caller’ Culshaw call where he has a little snigger at West Ham’s expense, plus we have the great pleasure of hearing from the ‘Cream Cheese Mousse’ (a.k.a Moussa Dembele) talking about how much Eric Coco Lamela adds to our team… when he say the word “fire” tell me honestly your heart doesn’t skip a beat? Also, Mr. Jolly asks via some super dodgy cheese puns... Is Lamela as Gouda he gets?!”; Did his Fondue melt the Wet Spam?!” and we hear Spurs fans singing “Wake me up before you go-go who needs Bale when you’ve got Sissoko… before Mr. J asks “Curd Sissoko be Finding his Whey?... (don’t hit me, I didn’t write them!)
