Ep #11: Big Cheesy: Son Turns Luiz Blue!
The Show: In Part 1 the Cheese Room Podcasters break down the win over Chelsea, a victory that meant so much and was summed up by the BIG cheesy grin on Heung-Min Son’s face after his worldie, really did Sting the Blues, just as we predicted last week. One thing we didn’t predict was Son starting, (with the possible exception of the Harlow Globetrotter suggesting the gaffer might pull a swiftie), and thus we discuss Poch’s tactical masterpiece; as well as Son’s goal; Dele’s magical performance; and another epic game from our beloved "anarcho-syndicalist" Moussa “the many legged beast” Sissoko.
In a shorter Part 2 this week, we first hear from 100 Spurs Fan’s said doyen and quiz master Simon King talking about what he thought of the Chelsea game. Then Ira Saleh, the Kurdish-Norwegian Lion joins us from Norway with his Stat attack looking at Sissoko’s first half numbers against Chelsea; the Dele effect including how we concede less with him in the side; and also our CL chances. After that the podders preview the Inter game in some detail and discuss what rotation might take place with the Gooner game in mind too.
The podcasters and our '100 Spurs Fans Said' posse:
Host Mr. Jolly, in Sydney is joined by HG from Vienna; Owen the Caller Culshaw from the west midlands of the UK; Simon 'the indefatigable ST holder' from London, who was at the game; and also by Pastor Nick 'the clueless Yank' Kersten from Wisconsin in the USA. The show includes the usual 100 Spurs Fans Said quotes, including from Matty Carter from Swindon; Dan the mining engineer from Eritrea, and FULL CAPS Greg Taylor from Canada, among others, as well as results from our surveys, FB polls and more.
NB: Faces in the Crowd with Paul Fellowes will be back on Friday this week in Part 3, after a special Arsenal preview podcast, where we discuss our chances of doing the scum at the Empty Nets (their end). He'll be joined by the founder of OzSpurs Justin. Don't miss that, and don't forget to follow us on FB, invite your friends to our page, and / or give is a recommendation / review on FB. PS. Like Simon the Philosopher Kingy did this week, you can send voice messages to us if you attend the games and we'll include them in the show.
