Ep #13 Toby, or not Toby? That is the Question!
In this week’s show Mr. Jolly in Sydney, is once again joined by Spurs fans from the UK and Europe. Namely, the Harlow Globetrotter, Lloyd Stiles from Vienna; Stadium correspondent, the indefatigable ST holder from London Simon J Burrows, who was at the Emirates for the game; and the legendary lead singer and megaphone wielding all singing all dancing frontman of Pop Will Eat Itself, Graham ‘Crabbi’ Crabb who joins from the UK too.
We also have another Stat attack from Ira “the Kurdish-Norwegian Lion” Salah from Norway and there are calls from Ira, as well as The Caller Owen Culshaw and Francis Top Man Parker at the beginning show, sharing their views on how they reacted when they heard Toby had been left out.
In Part 1, we review the Arsenal game, and look at the performances of several of our players, and the manager in detail. We also discuss the scuffles, the fan arrests and other major talking points from the match too.
In Part 2 (45.20), we’ll discuss and debate what went wrong in more detail, ask if we’ll finish above these gooner clowns, and what needs to go right or wrong for this to happen either way.
In Part 3 (1:06:30, we hear Ira’s Southampton related stat corner, then discuss the game and wonder what effect them sacking Mark Hughes might have.
There’s also heaps of data and shout-outs from the 100 Spurs Fans Said surveys and guff, and we pay tribute to the various Spurs FB groups who provide us with our listeners. As ever, give us a like and a recommendation over on our FB page, and don’t forget to invite your Spurs supporting friends to the page as well.
Finally, huge thanks to Matthew Hookey, of the Cheese Room Podcast Collective for this week’s cover art. Brilliant work mate!
