HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Matthew 7:24-27 "Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash." New Living
Proverbs 14:26 Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children. New Living
LOVE WITH UNSELFISH LOVE.
Philippians 2:3-8 Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross. New Living
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. NIV
Ephesians 5:25 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. New Living
CHOOSE TO FORGIVE.
Matthew 6:14-15 If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. New Living
“A happy marriage is the union of two good forgivers.” Ruth Graham
Colossians 3:13-14 Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. New Living
Trust is earned but forgiveness is given.
KEEP JESUS AT THE CENTER.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. NIV
John 3:30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. New Living
Romans 12:9-10 Love from the center of who you are; don't fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. 10 Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle. MESSAGE
