Episode 052 | "Sick Puppy"
Si & Veronica are hopping into spring with this episode! We catch each other up on our St. Paddy’s Day weekend, in which Si caught up with PG and SteeG and Vee sported an injured thumb in a bright green bandage to match her beer. Besides it being the beginning of a new meteorological season, it is also trailer season with new drops from Toy Story 4, Stranger Things season 3, and the new Tarantino movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. We ran with the question of why do all female characters (as of late) need to be warriors? The culprit is forever the patriarchy, but we discussed how power can be shown in ways that aren’t traditionally masculine. Speaking of societal norms for masculinity/femininity, we talked about loving hard and breaking down the stigma of when to say “I love you,” especially when it comes to our friends! Veronica went “Yikes!” over hearing Theranos-founder Elizabeth Holmes’ fake deep voice and we were both impressed at how someone could put up such a bizarre facade. We checked out the preview of Hannah G.’s suitors, and we are not impressed… Which means they will probably be perfect for her stuttering self!
