13. Paul: Acts After Acts
People who do not read the Bible think that Paul's death is recorded in the Acts. Actually, Acts 28 leaves Paul alive and thriving in Rome with hints that he will soon be off for somewhere else. One or two apocryphal stories have Paul being beheaded by Nero's command on the Ostia road. But these are only stories. Paul had a very good relationship with the Imperials and with the army. Let's abandon the stories in favor of looking at the tradition - in which Paul goes on his most daring and dangerous missionary trip of all.
