S2 E14 - Champs League, Kane and the Mental Game
PLOT: Part 1: On S2 E14 Gary Stevens joins host Mr. Jolly to discuss a variety of topical subjects in the land of Spurs. They ruminate over the upcoming champs league fixtures; and Mr. J asks Gary to reminisce about when he played for Spurs against Munich in December 1983, and knocked them out on the way to winning the UEFA Cup trophy. They also discuss the impact of International breaks on players and club; as well as Harry Kane’s form and the diving allegations against him. Finally they chat about the some of the internal goings on at the club and discuss Danny Rose’s latest chat with the press, as well as his documented mental health issues. Gary then shares his own experiences with the mental side of the game as a player and in his retirement. As ever, when we are joined by Gary, it's a fascinating and informative listen.

Gary Stevens: Defender and midfielder for Tottenham (1983-1990); UEFA Cup Winner (1984) and FA Cup finalist (87); scored in a FA Cup final for Brighton against Man Utd (1983), when that was still the greatest show on earth. Also known as “Grease” on account of massive late 70’s style hair back in the day, and because he was at one point the “toy-boy” lover of Olivia Newtown-John.
Mr. Jolly: Founder of the Cheese Room; mad Aussie based Spurs fan since 1981 (Glenn Hoddle is God); known for jumping in Sydney Harbour and various fountains around Sydney during our run to the CL final including in this stunning Ajax game docu / reaction video https://bit.ly/2m3Zxl1; world exclusive revealer of the 2019-20 Spurs away kit in a YouTube Video https://bit.ly/30aOcOS.
