Angelica Saavedra is a dear friend of ours that Donna has known for decades.  She is a waitress in Queens, NY, and is an immigrant from Lima, Peru. It took Angelica over 30 years to get her legal citizenship.  She takes us through her emotional ups and downs in this hour long segment.  We are happy to say she has received her citizenship and sent us a photo of her holding her paperwork in front of a picture of Donald Trump after her swearing in ceremony at City Hall in NYC!

Kiley Matheson is the daughter of Scott James Matheson.  She goes to a public high school in Valdosta, GA, and just participated in the Georgia State Cross Country Championships in Carrollton, GA.  Her dad is the owner/morning host of our affiliate in Valdosta, GA., WDDQ and WJHC in Jasper, Fl. and he is also running for Mayor of Valdosta.  We talked with Kiley about the pressures of training, getting up early, motivation for high school students and the pressures they face.  Add to that the fact that her father is in a political campaign at a time when politics is a highly charged issue socially.  Kiley stressed how important it is to try hard and she ran her personal best in the Championships.  Congratulations, Kiley!
