Author and ex-US Marine came to visit me in my studio in West Houston. He drove down from Waco, Texas, for our conversation, and I'm so glad he did. We talked mostly about his book, "Behind Friendly Lines: Memoirs of a US Marine in Chile" (Lucid Books 2019), and we also talk about learning and using a second language, and translating from English to Spanish.
