Coronavirus: Amsterdam's red light district reopens with Covid-19 precautions in place
Amsterdam's Red Light district is due to re-open from Wednesday after Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte gave the sex industry the greenlight to resume from July 1, with Covid-19 cases in the Netherlands falling sharply in recent weeks. Workers must wear gloves and masks as part of new precautions put in place. The neighbourhood, which attracts millions of visitors each year, was shut during the public health crisis. The rooms have gloves, face masks and hand sanitiser installed for when tenants and customers return.
