In today’s show, Bill interviews Marine Corps, Jay Cope, and Chris Harrin. Jay and Chris are the co-founders of Semper Fi Custom Remodeling, a building contractor based in North Carolina. 

Jay and Chris are childhood friends who have known each other for three decades now. They started Semper Fi back in the summer of 2010. 

In the first segment of the show, Jay and Chris reveal their big WHY which inspired them to start their business. Discovering that local building contractors rarely stayed true to their word, Jay and Chris formed Semper Fi to provide honest and reliable contracting services.

Semper Fi literally means “Always Faithful” in Latin.

Like most entrepreneurs, Jay and Chris were disorganized and working 16-hour days in the first year of their business. Poor communication and lack of systems took a toll on their productivity levels and Jay and Chris were not growing at a clip that was commensurate with the effort that they were putting in.

This is when they ran into Bill and hired him as their business coach.
