This is an interesting topic. (Context... I live in the US) In many of the grocery stores in my town, there is an organic option that‘s been shipped from half a country away or there‘s a local option from the town over or at least within my state. With beef it‘s free range, grass fed, non-organic but from within state. For tomatoes they are from the next city over, non-organic, but they employ those who would otherwise find it difficult to find work due to disability.
