...... gaps in my knowledge of the topic. And the other is that it displayed the in depth research and knowledge that Karen has on this topic. Like me, she was born into the history of the effects of slavery, and it always bothers me how many people do not seem to embrace and absorb what effects the centuries of oppression would have had on our Society. Karen's exhibition itself was awe inspiring. And the Blue Power section breath taking. I had seen elements of Ar'n't I A Woman in her previous works, but Blue Power had an immediate effect on me.
