Rick, Podcast 8 went to the next level. Loved the simple model that Bob shared re Beliefs drive behaviors which drive results. The other takeaway from Bob’s examples was leadership going to the field with a “Go and see” mentality. This not only shows the front line that their leader is engaged on matters that matter; it also becomes a teaching and education moment for the leader. Bob’s model then shows personally a leader being interested in results from the field, practicing the behaviors they want to see from their team, and being willing to learn and allow their belief system to be shaped. This last point is a common theme with Gary, Anil and Bob. All seem genuinely interested in people, interested in learning, and willing to grow as leaders through their learnings. The Go and See example is also a great example of resetting expectations and transitioning accountability into front line ownership. Not always easy to be comfortable in an uncomfortable moment.... but very empowering to your team when you can. Can’t wait for #9. 👏
