I response to the email about gods, I have a crew playing through Gods of the Fall cypher campaign setting and the system has some very unique rules for gods (some based off their own superheroes mechanics). I think falling back on the hero mechanics for genesys is a great idea, but also they should look to reworking the heroic abilities that conform to a religious growth mechanic rather than just exp. it could be an intriguing use of rules.
