OK in order for anyone to pin sexually transmitted diseases to David in psalms 38 we have to exercise critical thinking in order to understand if this is true or if it isn't. David was a man after God's own heart. This means that he followed the commandments this is why psalms 119 is the longest chapter in The Bible and it's all about how much David love God's commandments. So to get this transmitted disease he would have had to either be a sexually permiscuous with someone other than bathsheba Iba because this is the only sexual sin that we know of by scripture Which means that she gave it to him which would mean that she was permiscuous and uriah the Hittite was a righteous man married to a Harlot. Let's not forget that Solomon was born of her so now we have and lot more to think about in regards to David talking about a sexually transmitted disease in psalms 38. So if he didn't get it from Bathsheba then David must have been permiscuous . Scripture says and proverbs chapter 30 that if we add to his words then we are a liar. We have to be very careful when we put things out over the airwaves because this could move people's thinking and lead people astray when we aren't really sure of what we're talking about. I believe that Psalms 38 is talking about how badd sin is especially to someone who loves the commandments the way David does or did.
