If you haven't already, listen our more recent episodes, Process, and Holly talks about the collaboration with SM Sterling on the book The Rose Sea. I think her level of fun was topped out on that one, it was her favorite collab. Still, the problem is that the books tend to not be favored by either writer's readers, and as she says "You're doing twice the work for half the pay." I'm not sure what - if anything - would be enough incentive to have her collab again, but hey, never say never!

Oops. This podcast app is weird: I was listening to the next episode, it even showed the next episode's title, so I thought I was commenting on that episode.

@Lunarclipper : Hello Holly and Rebecca. I have a question for Holly for clarification: the problem you mentioned with collaboration, if I understand it correctly, is that the readers for both authors will be unsatisfied by the story because each group will come expecting a book with the feal of their author, and instead get a hybrid that isn't really either of them. I was wondering, if there was an author, like maybe Mercedes Lackey for example, that you knew had a good work ethic, you knew you could write with and get along with, who wanted to do a collaboration with you, who suggested you each create a pen name just for this collaboration, would this mitigate the problem you mentioned enough for you to consider it? If not, why not?
